Switching Plan Managers

Switching plan managers is your right — and it's simple

Not happy with your current plan manager, or just want a fresh start? You can switch at any time. Here's how it actually works.

You're free to switch, anytime

As an NDIS participant, your choice of plan manager is entirely yours. There's typically no cost or penalty for switching, and no requirement to justify your decision. The most common approach is giving your current plan manager written notice, similar to ending any other service agreement.

At Clear Funds Manager, for example, either party can end our Service Agreement with 14 days' written notice. On ending, we finalise any pending invoices and provide a Final Statement within 7 business days so the next plan manager has everything they need for a clean handover. Most plan managers in the sector follow a broadly similar written-notice pattern — check your current Service Agreement for its exact notice period.

We handle the PRODA/PACE transition

We register your plan with the NDIA and take over claims processing on your behalf, so the change happens on the system side without you needing to chase it.

Your old plan manager finalises and hands over

They should process any pending invoices and provide you (and us) with a Final Statement, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Will there be a gap in my support?

No service gap, if timed properly.

Because plan management is just the financial administration layer, your actual supports and providers don't need to pause while you switch. The key is overlapping the handover slightly — start your new Service Agreement with us before your old plan manager's notice period ends, so there's continuous coverage for invoice processing.
